History of World Pest Day
World Pest Day” was started by the Chinese Pest Control Association, and co-supported by the Federation of Asian and Oceania Pest Managers’ Association (FAOPMA), the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), and the Confederation of European Pest Management Associations (CEPA).
The debut service was held at the Beijing Hotel on 6th June, 2017, with 300 welcomed visitors, including individuals from the media, industry pioneers and the scholarly world. In 2018, World Pest Day was commended on June 6 in Portugal, during the Global Summit of Pest Management Services for Public Health and Food Safety.
National and International Agriculture Days
World Pest Day was made in order to:
- Increase public, government, and media attention to the significant role pest management organization plays in ensuring general wellbeing.
- Venture the expert image of the pest management industry.
- Advance the utilization of professional pest management in a scientific and socially dependable manner.
- Point out the large threats brought about by tiny pests.
